Gong Xie Fat Chai (Happy Chinese New Year!)

Gong Xie Fat Chai!!!!!!

Happy Chinese New year. Yay! It's finally my year! Jeez, twelve years feels like forever!
Hope everyone has a nice holidayin Malaysia! Since I can't be in Malaysia to celebrate Chinese New Year with you all, here's my present to you!

I hope you don't mind it being on the screen than in your pocket!
Hope everyone has a good year!

  1. Hi everyone! Please excuse my spelling, and if I accidentally wrote GOng Xie Fat Chai in Mandarin rather than in Cantonese, then I am very sorry. Learning three different languages at once is hard!

  2. Ni Hao!Hey,no need to be accountable to anyone.Nobody is perfect.Everything is still Chinese and under Chinese hands.I mean the words.I hope you can also understand why I sometimes have alien words in my comments. Some are German spellings.
How's your Putonghua getting on? Mine is...ma ma hu hu.The 409 pinyins and symbols are real scarry isn't it?
Cantonese is a dialect and it will lose it's position in Hong kong to Putonghua oneday.I was really a "ben dan"pronounce in English(burn done),but not really, for I had followed the western trail and ended up in a western ranch.
But because I'm still young,I think I will pull another stunt, this time Putonghua making a total of 4 languages.Maybe French and Spanish later!
I was wondering where the Chinese symbols are or where to search for the Chinese symbols in my Laptop.Sure will be great to do it the complete Chinese way with all the symbols in this wish to everybody,
    Xin Nian Kuai Le.

  3. 恭喜发财 in Cantonese = Kong Hee Fat Choy.
Mandarin (Putonghua) = Gong Xi Fa Cai
Hainanese = Keong Hee Huat Sai
Hokkien = Keong Hee Huat Chai
Wonder how it is pronounced in Hock Chiu
